Primary, August 9, 2011: Our Day
This morning at group, we sang our Continent Song:
Continents, continents do you know your continents?
Continents, continents all around the world.
Asia, Africa, North & South America,
Europe, Australia, Antarctica, too!
Ryker held the globe during our Pledge to the Earth. After reciting our Pledge in English, we recited it in Spanish with Miss Mary! Yesterday, Jacob had his turn to hold the globe, and William held the globe last Friday. Tomorrow, it will be Ryan B.’s turn!
In our Spanish group, Miss Mary sang our Continent song in Spanish. We hope to have the words and pronunciation on our web site soon!
We had pancakes and oranges for snack this morning, and Miss Hannah and some friends harvested more cherry tomatoes plus some cucumbers from our vegetable garden. We will have tomatoes and cucumbers with homemade hummus tomorrow!
On our playground, Miss Lauren and Miss Jordan planted pumpkin seeds with our friends. We also found a frog! Jackson and some of his friends “dug in the earth and found wormies!”
Our day was a great day!
